Fire Department Vehicles
The Winter Garden Fire Department took delivery of Engine 24 in 1998. The engine was built by Emergency One, Inc. of Ocala, FL. It is a 1998 Cyclone II custom pumper. A five-person committee made up of Firefighters, Engineers and Captains from our department designed the Engine. This engine replaced another Engine that was 10 years old and outdated. Below are some of the specs and equipment that are carried on the Engine.

The Winter Garden Fire Department took delivery of Engine 23 in 2003. The engine was built by Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. of Holden, LA. It is a 2003 Inferno custom pumper. A three-person committee made up of the Deputy Chief, a Lieutenant, and an Engineer from our department designed the Engine. Engine 23 was placed in service in at Station 23 in March of 2003. This engine replaced another Engine that was 10 years old and outdated. Below are some of the specs and equipment that are carried on the Engine.

The Winter Garden Fire Department took delivery of Rescue 24 in 1999. The Rescue was built by Emergency Vehicles Inc. of Lake Park, FL. The chassis is a 1999 Ford F550 with a custom-built 14’ rescue body mounted on the frame. A three-member committee made up of Firefighters from our Department designed the Rescue. The Winter Garden Fire Department placed Woods 24 in service in 2002. Woods 24 is a 2002 Ford F550. The purchase of Woods 24 was made possible with funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 2001 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. This vehicle replaced the previous Woods 24 which was a 1959 Dodge Power Wagon.
