- 501 Crown Point Cross Rd.
A joint venture between the City of Winter Garden and Orange County helped to develop this wonderful 30 acre wooded park that includes the popular West Orange Trail. Bikers, joggers and skaters can stop at the park to use any of it’s new facilities which include two tennis courts, a basketball court, playground, picnic pavilion and restrooms. There is ample parking should trail users wish to begin their journey here.
Located on Crown Point Road, this park is open from sunrise to dusk. The City Picnic Pavilion is available on a first come first served basis, NO CHARGE, it is located near the basketball court. For more information contact the Public Works Office at 407-656-2256. Individuals wishing to rent the pavilion closest to the playground should call the West Orange Trail office at 654-5144.
- 220 W. Division St.
Tucked in to a hidden corner of Winter Garden near Lake Apopka, Dr. Bradford Memorial Park may be the city’s best kept secret. Located at the West end of Division St. this beautiful park has (4) picnic pavilions, benches, grills and restrooms. A canal through the park empties into Lake Apopka. Many birds and aquatic animals can be seen along the water’s edge.
The picnic pavilion is available for parties or other special occasions on a first come first served basis. NO CHARGE. For more information contact the Public Works Office at 407-656-2256. Dr. Bradford Memorial Park is open from 8am to Dusk.
- 135 Florida Ave.
This neighborhood park has a wide variety of amenities for residents of all ages. It is located two blocks East of Dillard St. and lies between Maple St. and Florida Ave. This 1.6 acres park provides open space for playing football, baseball or frisbee . The other half contains a playground area, three basketball courts and several outdoor racquetball courts. There is also a small covered pavilion that provides shade for a picnic table located underneath.
Newton Park - 31 W. Garden Ave.
Newton Park is located on the shores of Florida’s fourth largest lake, Lake Apopka. The walkways in this 11 acre park invite you to stroll around the water’s edge and take in the scenic views or watch for wildlife consisting of alligators, turtles, snakes and birds of all kinds. Benches are strategically placed throughout the park for visitors to enjoy the beautiful sunset (no extra charge}. Newton also boasts a 300ft fishing pier and a tot-lot playground adjacent to the park equipped with swings, climbing equipment and a merry-go-round. Pets are permitted in the park, on a leash and owners must clean up after their pets. Newton Park is open from 8am to 10pm.
The picnic pavilion is available on a first come first served basis. NO CHARGE. It is equipped with 10 picnic tables and is the perfect setting for birthday parties, familly picnics or club gatherings. The gazebo is available on a first come first served basis. NO CHARGE. - 415 S. Park Ave.
Located ½ mile North of S.R. 50 off Park Ave., the Sam Williams Little League Complex is home to hundreds of Little League baseball players in West Orange County. With three Little League fields and one senior league field, this is the primary facility for youth athletics in Winter Garden. A Spring and Fall baseball league each take place here.
On this same site is Walker Field, home to the West Orange Wildcats Pop Warner Football League. This regulation football field has bleachers, restrooms and a concession stand. Although the City does not handle the administration of the Little League Organization, Pop Warner Football or Pop Warner Cheerleading, you can call the Recreation Dept. at 407-656-4155 to get contact numbers for these organizations.
- 420 S. Park Ave.
This 11 acre park contains a variety of athletic facilities and other amenities. Located on the corner of S. Park Ave. and Story Rd., this spacious park has four tennis courts, two basketball courts, two softball fields, a sand volleyball court, a practice football field and a practice baseball field. Also present at this site are (4) picnic pavilions, grills, a playground, picnic tables and restrooms. There is an abundance of open space throughout the park for many activities such as frisbee throwing and kite flying . Veteran’s Memorial Park is open from 8am to 10pm daily.

- 940 Klondike St.
Located in East Winter Garden, this 1 ½ acre park may be the city’s most utilized park. A favorite among neighborhood residents, this park has a pool, playground equipment, picnic pavilions, grills, two basketball courts, picnic tables, benches and restrooms. An after-school program has a staff person frequently hosting games, crafts and other special activities . Many seasonal events are also held here including an Easter egg hunt, pool parties and a Christmas cook-out. The Picnic Pavilion is available for neighborhood functions. For more information please contact the Public Works Ofiice at 407-656-2256. Zander’s Park is open from 8am to 10pm.
The Sam Williams Little League Complex has three Little League fields and one senior league field. The fields are home to the Winter Garden Little League that hosts league play in both the Fall and Spring.

Located at 940 Klondike St. in East Winter Garden, Bouler Pool is a favorite among neighborhood children and families. The pool is open between 1:00pm and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Adjacent to the pool is Zander’s Park with playground equipment and a picnic pavilion that together make for a great outing.
Farnsworth Pool - 1 Surprise Dr.
One of the oldest pools in Orange County, Farnsworth Pool has seen it’s share of visitors. This historic pool is still being used today by thousands of swimmers a year. Open for public swimming between Memorial Day and Labor Day, it has a capacity of 300 people and swimmers are welcome seven days per week.
Fee is $1 per person or family passes may also be purchased. Family passes allow up to 6 immediate family members unlimited swimming for the season. Cost of a Family Pass is $40 for city residents and $75 for non-city residents. Swimming lessons are also offered for youth of all ages and skill levels. Pool hours are subject to weather conditions.
Walker Field, located at 420 S. Park Ave., is Winter Garden’s primary football game field. Home to the West Orange Wildcats Pop Warner League, this field receives heavy use during the Fall football season. A practice field (with goalposts) is also located in Veteran’s Memorial Park across the street from Walker field.

The City of Winter Garden has four picnic pavilions throughout the community that available on a first come, first served basis. All are equipped with picnic tables and some have electric hook-ups available. The pavilions are ideal for parties, family reunions or other gatherings. Large groups wanting to use the pavilions for meetings or events should call the Recreation Dept. to reserve space ahead of time.
Veteran’s Park, 420 S. Park Ave This pavilion is in a wonderful area shaded by Oak trees. Tennis courts, a playground, softball fields, basketball courts and plenty of open space are available within the park. Restrooms are also conveniently located.
Chapin Station, Crown Point Road With Chapin Station & Neighborhood Park located right on the popular West Orange Trail, this pavilion offers a great spot for families or groups looking to tie in a day of biking or trail use with their picnic. Also located in this park are playgrounds, a basketball court, tennis courts and restrooms. The pavilion is set in the wooded area of the park to give groups a sense of privacy while still being a stones throw from the other park amenities. The pavilion nearest to the playground is rented by the West Orange Trail that can be reached at 654-5144.
Newton Park, 31 W. Garden Ave This pavilion takes in all the beauty of Lake Apopka and Newton Park. Ten picnic tables are located here and guests can enjoy a stroll down to the lake or to the tot-lot playground located just a minute’s walk away. During the summer months, a Birthday Party can tie in swimming as one of the activities as Farnsworth Pool lies just next door. Newton Park also offers a gazebo just several feet from the lake. Several picnic tables can be placed underneath. Good spot for a wedding or a meeting by the lake to watch the sunset.
Bradford Park, Division Street Located at the West end of Division St., this pavilion offers guests a great setting for birthday parties or family outings. The Park is equipped with restrooms and is located next to Lake Apopka.
The West Orange Jaycees park has two outdoor Racquetball courts. The Park is open from 8am to 10pm and the courts are available to racquetball players between this time period.
Formerly the City Fire Station, the Winter Garden Recreation Center opened it’s doors to residents June 1, 1999. This multi-purpose recreation facility was remodeled to be the hub of all recreation programs for the City of Winter Garden. The building is equipped with restrooms and has two separate rooms to allow for different programs to take place simultaneously.
It currently houses youth day camps, exercise classes, dance classes, painting classes and much more. See the Recreation Program pages for a full description. This is not a rental facility.
- 420 S. Park Ave.
The City of Winter Garden maintains two 275 feet softball fields at Veteran’s Park, located at 420 S. Park Ave. The fields are utilized by the City’s Adult Softball League for practices and games. Leagues are held for Church, Co-Ed, Men and Women. Other facilities include restrooms, a scorers building and a concession stand.
